MITS Altair 8800 CPU Board

When you ordered the original Altair 8800 system from the Popular Electronics article, two cards were included: an 8080 CPU card and a 1KB static memory card that had 256 bytes of memory installed. This is the original CPU card that came with this Altair system. It came in kit form and I assembled it myself.

The card is operational. I've used it occasionally over the past two months and it appears to be rock-solid. I couldn't do too much with it because most of the software I have requires a Z80 processor. I was able to boot CP/M 1.4 and run a couple of applications with it.

The card is marked 8800 CPU BD REV 0 and has the hand written serial number 1049K.

The original assembly instructions, information on configuring it, and logic diagrams are included with this card.
